Luksakae View Homestay in Piang So is a campsite in Nan province where every cabin's porch offers a sunset view over the mountains along the Thai-Laos border. Located in Chaloem Phra Kiat district, it's just a 30-minute drive from Highway 1081 near Ban Wen in Bo Kluea district, or about 3 to 4 hours from Nan town including stops along the way. Accommodation consists of simple wooden houses on stilts, available in small and large sizes, each with an en-suite bathroom and water heater. Campers are welcome too, with tent space priced at 150 THB. The homestay includes a free breakfast of hot rice porridge, boiled eggs, and drip coffee, best enjoyed while taking in the mountain view. Guests can order Thai-style barbecue (moo kata) for dinner if requested one day in advance. Rooms fill up quickly during holidays, so advance booking is recommended.
