Ban Nong Terd campsite in Suphan Buri sits closest to the trailhead of Khao Thewada, offering direct mountain views and starry night skies. Located in Dan Chang district, the campground is only about 400-500 meters from the base of the Khao Thewada climb, which itself is a roughly 900-meter staircase trail that gets steep in the second half. Tent camping costs 100 baht per person, with kids under 12 paying 50 baht; tent rental with bedding starts at 300 baht per tent, and huts are available for 200 baht with a table and light included. A grill rental service costs 100 baht and a round-trip car charter service is offered for 2,000 baht. There is no electricity on site, and phone signal is limited to a few spots, working best on the AIS network. Night temperatures around early December dropped to 18-19°C with heavy dew, and the 3-4 bathrooms have very cold water. A nearby coffee shop, Kanthai Coffee & Tea, serves drinks and snacks, including home-roasted Arabica coffee grown on site.
