1. Information We Collect

We collect your personal information when you register, write reviews, report campsite issues, or use other services. This information may include:

  • Identity Information: Name, Email Address, Profile Picture (via email sign-in, Google, Facebook, Apple, or LINE)
  • Submitted Campsite Information:When you submit a campsite as an owner or suggester (campsite name, details, prices, the campsite's contact channels, and photos), this business information is published publicly on the website and app once approved
  • Push Notifications: In our mobile app we store a device token (FCM token) to deliver notifications, which you can disable in the app or device settings
  • Profile Information:Your username (@handle), bio, and the facts you choose to fill in — gender, home province, and birth month/year — each with its own "Public / Only me" switch in Edit Profile. Facts set to public appear on your profile card to other members; the default is Only me
  • Friends: When you send or accept a friend request we store that relationship (both accounts, its status, and when). The friend code inside your QR is a permanent random code that reveals nothing about you, and you can block or remove a friend at any time
  • Chat Data: When you use chat, we store conversation members and administrators, group names and photos, messages, photos, stickers, location pins or campsite information you choose to send, timestamps, delivery and read status, typing signals, and chat preferences such as friend nicknames, mute choices, and your quick-send sticker. Friend nicknames and private preferences are visible only to your account
  • Activity Status:When activity sharing is enabled, your friends can see that you are online or when you were last active. Sharing is enabled by default for accounts using this feature and can be turned off in the app's privacy settings. Connection signals update your status when the app leaves the foreground or disconnects
  • Location:With your permission, the app uses your device location to find campsites near you (processed on the device), and when you tap "I'm here" to log a visit it sends your position at that moment to our server to check the distance to the campsite and stores the visit (campsite, date, and measured distance) with your account. We do not track location in the background. Your location is shared with other users only when you intentionally send a location pin in chat, where members of that conversation can see the coordinates you sent
  • Camera and Photo Library:Used to take or choose photos for reviews, campsite submissions, profiles, and chat messages, and to scan a friend's QR code. Scanned QR frames are not stored or sent anywhere
  • Chat Reports and Moderation:When you report a message, we separately store the reporter, sender, reason, time, and a snapshot of the reported text or images as evidence. Authorized moderators may record the outcome, chat restrictions, and a user's appeal
  • Member Card in Wallet:If you add your Member Card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, the pass carries your member number, username, member-since date, badge count, and your add-friend QR (see "Information Disclosure")
  • Review Data: Comments, ratings, and photos you post about campsites
  • Contact Information: Information provided when reporting issues or suggesting new campsites
  • Usage Data: IP Address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, mouse movements and clicks, via Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, and Cookies
  • Advertising Identifiers:In our mobile app, the device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android) may be used to serve ads, subject to your consent (see "Advertising" below)

This policy covers both the จุดกางเต็นท์.com website and the จุดกางเต็นท์ mobile app on iOS and Android.

2. How We Use Your Information

  1. To manage and improve website performance and user experience
  2. To display your reviews and comments on the website
  3. To communicate with you regarding website usage or inquiries
  4. To verify and resolve reported campsite issues
  5. To analyze usage trends and improve user experience
  6. To provide the friends feature, visit logging and badges, and the Member Card in Wallet, as you choose to use them
  7. To deliver messages and chat notifications, show online and read status according to your settings, prevent spam, review reports, enforce community rules, and decide appeals

3. Information Disclosure

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties except when:

  • You have given consent
  • Required by law or court order
  • Necessary for our service providers to operate the website and app — namely Google Firebase (authentication, chat database, activity status, and notifications), Cloudflare (hosting and image storage, including chat images), MongoDB Atlas (report evidence and moderation records), Resend (status-notification emails), and Sentry (error monitoring). These providers process data only on our instructions
  • Messages and items you send in chat are disclosed to the other participant or relevant group members, and your online or last-active status is shown to friends when activity sharing is enabled
  • When a message is reported, the reported-content snapshot and related information are available to authorized moderators for safety review and enforcement
  • Authorized personnel may access chat data when reasonably necessary to resolve technical issues, prevent harm, investigate abuse, or comply with law. We do not routinely read private conversations
  • When you choose to add your Member Card to a wallet, the data on the pass (member number, username, member-since date, badge count, and add-friend QR) is sent to Apple (Apple Wallet) or Google (Google Wallet) for your platform and updated when it changes. You can remove the pass from your wallet at any time; Apple's or Google's own privacy policy governs their handling of it

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses Cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel), and Microsoft Clarityto improve your experience and analyze visitor behavior. On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies, and you can change your choice anytime via the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer. You can also disable Cookies through your browser settings, but this may affect website functionality. We also use your browser's Local Storage to remember usage state — such as your sign-in status and latest wishlist — so pages can display instantly.

Microsoft Clarity: We use Microsoft Clarity to analyze user behavior through session recordings, heatmaps, and click analysis. This helps us understand how users interact with the website and improve the user experience.Clarity only runs after you give consent via the cookie banner.Once you consent, both we and Microsoft collect and use data about your use of this website, and you can withdraw consent anytime via the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer. Learn more at the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Meta Pixel and Advanced Matching: We use Meta Pixel to measure ad performance and improve campaign efficiency. We also use Advanced Matching, which sends hashed (encrypted) customer information such as email addresses to Meta to better match website visitors to Facebook accounts. All data is hashed in your browser before being sent — Meta never receives raw data. You can opt out of tracking at Facebook Ad Preferences.

5. Advertising

Website ads (Mediavine): Our website displays ads through Mediavine, a third-party advertising network. Mediavine and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads relevant to your interests and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info.

In-app ads (Google AdMob): Our mobile app displays ads through Google AdMob, which may use the device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android) to serve ads relevant to your interests.

  • iOS:We always ask for permission first via App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.

Affiliate links: Some pages, such as province guides and blog articles, contain links to products on Shopee that are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking takes you to Shopee's website, where Shopee may use cookies or parameters in the link to recognise that the visit came from our site and to calculate that commission. We do not receive your name, address, payment method, or order details — we see only a commission total. Your activity on Shopee's website is governed by the Shopee Privacy Policy.

Data collected by advertising networks is not linked to your name, email, or user account in our systems. Learn more about how Google uses data in the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Data Security

6.1 Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Authentication is managed through Firebase Authentication, which maintains international security standards.

Access to conversations and chat images is restricted by account and conversation membership. Chat messages are not end-to-end encrypted, so please do not send passwords, payment data, identity documents, or unnecessary sensitive information through chat.

6.2 Retention

We retain messages and chat files as needed to let conversation members access their history. Removing a conversation from your inbox hides it for your account and does not delete another member's copy. A sender can unsend a message during the period provided in the app, but reported-message evidence may be retained longer as needed to investigate abuse, resolve disputes, protect the service, or comply with law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your personal data
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your personal data (subject to certain conditions) — see the Account & Data Deletion page for the steps
  • Object to or restrict processing of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

Account deletion may not remove messages already delivered to another person from that recipient's conversation history, and we may retain report evidence or moderation records where legally permitted and necessary for service safety.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at: contact@จุดกางเต็นท์.com or contact@jkt.world
