Doi Mon Mak, also known as Doi Muen Mak, is located in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai. The site was originally farmland belonging to the Lawa hill tribe, who cultivated rice and areca palms. The name derives from the thousands of areca nut bunches used to exchange for the land. The campsite offers 360-degree views where visitors can observe the sea of mist and enjoy stargazing. A shop on site serves food and beverages, including hot pot meals. Facilities include parking, a viewpoint, barbecue areas, toilets, and showers. The access road includes some steep sections, though regular sedans can make the drive up. The site suits those seeking a mountain retreat with expansive views and frequent mist. The entrance fee is 150 baht per person, and equipment rental is not available.
