Koh Set is a small island of only a few rai in Chaiya District, Surat Thani Province, formed by sediment deposits from the Tapi River estuary. The island features white sand beaches and a sandbar extending approximately 4 kilometers that becomes clearly visible at low tide. The area is rich with shrimp, shellfish, crabs, and various fish species. Visitors can participate in activities such as releasing egg-bearing crabs, collecting shells, fishing, planting mangroves, visiting fish villages and crab banks, and learning about the sea gypsy way of life. The island has no running water or electricity. Access requires a boat journey of approximately 30 minutes from Laem Pho coast in Phumriang subdistrict, with life jackets provided for all passengers. The most suitable time to visit is from March to September. Camping is free of charge, and equipment rental is not available.
