Mae Tho National Park is a highland campsite in Chiang Mai province with sweeping mountain views and, on clear days, a visible glimpse of Doi Inthanon peak. Located in Hot district about 160 km from Chiang Mai city, reached via Highway 108 through Hot district, then the Hot–Mae Sariang road, turning onto Highway 1270 toward Ban Kong Loi–Ban Mae Tho. The last kilometer before the park office and campsite is an unpaved dirt track with deep ruts, requiring a 4x4 during rainy season since sedans likely cannot pass; it dries out after rain. The site itself is clean and shaded with clean toilets and helpful staff. There are no restaurants or convenience stores inside the park, so bring food and water in advance. Mobile signal is inconsistent and not available on every network in the mountains, so a power bank or power station is recommended for overnight stays. Bungalows are available but visitors should confirm availability before visiting.
