Mon Ba Lu Kho Camping Ground is located in Chiang Mai province and offers 4 to 5 separate camping areas on red soil terrain that can become dusty in windy conditions. Visitors are permitted to cook at their campsites, and fried rice with egg is available for purchase at 40 baht per box. Facilities include parking, barbecue areas, viewpoints for observing the scenery and sea of mist, and toilets. The journey from Chiang Mai city takes approximately 3 hours, or nearly 2 hours from the Doi Inthanon visitor center. The access route is winding with alternating sections of red dirt and paved road, including some steep portions. The final kilometer consists of dirt road that may be slightly wet and muddy. Two-wheel-drive vehicles can manage the road during the dry season, but four-wheel-drive is necessary during the rainy season. Local transport services are available for those who prefer not to drive. Downloading offline GPS is recommended for navigation. The site charges 150 baht per person and does not offer equipment rental.
