Pha Taek Waterfall is a riverside campsite in Kanchanaburi inside Khao Laem National Park, reached only after a roughly 6-kilometer hike. From the campsite it's another 1 kilometer to the waterfall, which has 4 tiers. The first kilometer of the trail climbs over hills, then becomes an easy walk; the full trek takes about 3 hours and is considered beginner-friendly. The water stays clear and cool year-round, and visitor numbers are limited daily, so the trail rarely feels crowded. Bees are fairly common along the path, so caution is advised. Camping and day-trip visits both require advance phone booking with Khao Laem National Park, with a quota of 50 overnight visitors and 20 day-trip visitors per day. The park only opens the trail during certain months, so checking the hiking calendar before planning a trip is recommended.
