Camping Area - Chiang Rai occupies a ridgetop location in Chiang Rai province, appealing to nature enthusiasts and camping visitors. The site sits at an elevation that allows campers to observe sea of mist formations and sunrise views across the surrounding mountains. After dark, the remote setting away from urban light pollution provides favorable conditions for stargazing. Basic facilities include restroom access for campers. The exposed ridge location means weather conditions can change quickly, so visitors should come prepared with appropriate camping gear. Those planning an overnight stay must bring their own equipment as no rental services are provided on site. Entry costs 30 baht per person per night and equipment rental is not available.

Must stop for a coffee on the way down.
Nice forest rangers, toilet was okay, nice view for sunset. The camping site is run by donations. Would visit again. Campground is fairly flat.
Lovely view for an early morning sunrise
Bathrooms are just temporary plastic box stalls. No basin or shower. It rained when we stayed there(25/12/21). So we had to walk through a slippery muddy road to go to the bathroom. The staffs in the campground are quite helpful.
