Hi, I'm Thanwa, a freelance software developer based in Bangkok who heads out with a tent whenever there is a free weekend. จุดกางเต็นท์.com started in early 2026 out of a frustration every camper here knows: the information lives in Facebook group posts. Great photos with no price, a price with no pin, and no way to tell whether the post is still true.

So I built this myself, the website, the mobile app and the checking tools behind it, and started collecting campsites one at a time with coordinates, prices, amenities and contact details on a single page. Two freelancers now help gather each camp's details from public sources online and verify them before anything goes live.

Nobody funds this site. It runs on my own money and spare time, because it is a hobby I care about, but keeping the site and the app running costs money every month. The ads you see are what keep it running in the long term, and I try to place them so they get in the way as little as possible.

Where the data comes from, and what we do with it

Campsite information comes from three sources: owners who list their camps themselves, campers who send us a post or a link, and our team gathering from the campsite's own public posts. Every listing links to its original post below the description, so you can check it yourself.

From that post we rewrite the description in the site's own words (an AI tool drafts it, then a person reads and corrects it before it is published), verify the pin against Google Maps, and enter the price and amenities as filterable data. Reviews imported from Google Maps are labeled as such on every row, separate from reviews members write on this site.

Even so, campsite details change all the time — prices, opening periods, phone numbers. If you spot something that does not match reality, hit the Report button on that campsite page; we review every report and update as fast as we can.
