Bamboo Island lies within Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park in Krabi province, approximately 7 kilometers from Phi Phi Don. The island retains much of its natural character, with long stretches of white sandy beaches along its northern and eastern shores. The clear waters allow visibility of shallow coral reefs encircling the island, including staghorn, brain, and plate corals that support diverse marine life. Visitors can set up tents on the island, making it suitable for those seeking a quiet coastal environment. The site provides opportunities for snorkeling around the reef areas and watching the sunrise from the beach. Basic facilities include restrooms for camper use. The national park, established on October 6, 1983, as Thailand's 47th protected area, manages the island as part of the broader archipelago. Camping fees range from 30 to 60 baht per person per night, and equipment rental is available.
