This project, initiated under His Majesty King Rama IX, offers guided tram tours around the area. Each tour lasts approximately 40 minutes. A guide, who is an official from the Royal Palace, accompanies visitors and provides explanations throughout the journey. During the tour, visitors can observe various activities within the project, such as cattle and buffalo raising, different types of crop cultivation, as well as renewable energy installations including wind turbines and solar panels.

I recently had the chance to visit Chang Hua Man Royal Initiative Project in Phetchaburi, a beautiful agricultural learning center founded under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX). And honestly… I fell in love with this place. 🌱💚 Surrounded by peaceful nature, the project showcases sustainable farming based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy. It was inspiring to learn how this once dry and barren land was transformed into fertile farmland — starting from just a small sweet potato sprouting on a scale, which sparked the idea for the entire project. What I loved most here: 🥛 Fresh dairy products – The milk is rich and very clean in taste, and the milk ice cream is absolutely delicious! 🌽 Local farm produce – There are so many high-quality organic products to take home: vegetables, fruits, and various processed goods. 🚜 Learning spots everywhere – You can see how crops are grown, how animals are taken care of, and how renewable energy like windmills and solar power are used. 🌿 Green & meaningful travel – It’s not just sightseeing; you’re learning about sustainable living. The whole visit made me feel grateful — to see how the King’s vision has become a real place where nature, knowledge, and community come together. It’s relaxing, educational, and full of heart. If you love agri-tourism, quiet scenery, and good food made with love, this is a must-visit in Phetchaburi. I can’t wait to go back again… maybe for another cup of milk ice cream! 😋✨ ⭐ Rating: 5/5 Would definitely recommend for families, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to learn from Thailand’s royal agricultural wisdom.

Nice experience royal project place. Impressive of how hard our king working.

It is a very nice facility. There is a shuttle bus to go around the area for every half an hour. You can also walk around. It is a very educational. It is a bit on a down side since we went during the COVID-19 period: a few things like bike riding is not available.

Chang Hua Man Royal Project is the last project of late king Rama IX. It is a little bit out of the way but if you have some Thai friends that can take you or you want a bit of an adventure it’s worth a visit. This project was set up as an example how to best use the land for agriculture. There are bicycles to borrow or you can take a free small bus tour around the project. Also take a walk around the small lake up past the Royal residence overlooking the project and up through some beautiful gardens .Before you leave you can purchase some fresh fruit & vegetables with other products grown produced at the project from the Golden place and other stalls.
