Worth waking up early for! We came here following the recommendation of our homestay host, and we were rewarded with an incredible sunrise and a breathtaking view! This is a highly recommended viewpoint for sunrise watching. It’s also worth mentioning that you can stay overnight here — there are tents and small wooden cabins available. Important note: It gets very cold early in the morning, so make sure to dress warmly. One more helpful tip: Google Maps automatically suggested a route with difficult driving conditions. Luckily, our host explained which route to choose instead. I strongly recommend asking locals for the best/safer route before driving up.

There are loads of camping sites as well as some bungalows. We just came for the view. It is on the top of a mountain with great views of the valley and when clear Doi Inthenon. The roads up can be a bit of a challenge. It is busy on weekends or holidays so getting a place to camp or sleep could be a challenge.

Nice viewpoint on Mae Chaem valley and if you're lucky with a clear sky, on Doi Inthanon

Came for sunrise, absolutely stunning! Very bad roads, be careful driving in the dark.

Don't use the road East of the summit. Google recommended me this path and this is a sandy and rocky steep track, my bike couldn't make it. A skilled rider on a motocross would have probably done it tho. I missed the sunset.
