A very beautiful place. Don't bother looking for an electricity connection; there isn't one. Even with a (pink) Thai ID card, foreigners pay exorbitant prices: 60 THB for Thais, 300 THB for foreigners. Nevertheless, it's a place you should visit. I also recommend its restaurant, which is very good.
This trip has been the hottest camping experience of my life so far, LOL. The weather was very hot and humid even though we arrived there late in the evening. We also couldn't sleep well because it was so hot in our tent (- -') But the view in the morning was worth it even if our mission was to take photos of Comet Swan (yep, we went there in Oct. 2025.) And nope, we couldn't find Comet Swan because the sky was cloudy in the early morning so we gave up and tried to go back to sleep. That's why the sun rose higher than we expected when we woke up in the morning 😅 Another best part in this camping trip was the camping area is super close to Huay Maekamim Waterfall Tier 4 (Chatkaew.) It's just a path that separates the camping area and the waterfall. So aside from the view of sunrise over Srinagarindra Dam, we also got the beautiful view of the waterfall as well. It wasn't bad experience but I just hoped the weather is cooler than 24°C though (I sleep well in a lower temperature than this 😅)
Srinagarindra Dam National Park – Tranquility, Forests, and Open Waters Srinagarindra Dam National Park, located in Kanchanaburi province, is a vast and peaceful natural haven known for its dense forests, limestone mountains, and the wide expanse of the Srinagarindra Reservoir. Compared to more tourist-heavy parks, this one offers a quieter, more immersive nature experience. The park is ideal for travelers who enjoy slow travel and outdoor living. Highlights include calm lake views, scenic viewpoints, caves, waterfalls, and the unique experience of staying on floating raft houses or lakeside campsites. Mornings are especially beautiful, with mist rising from the water and birdsong echoing through the forest. Activities range from kayaking, swimming, and boating to light trekking and wildlife observation. The area feels raw and less developed, which adds to its charm—but visitors should come prepared, as distances between sites can be long. Facilities are basic yet functional, and the atmosphere is best suited for couples, nature lovers, and anyone wanting to disconnect from city life. Overall rating: 4.6/5 Srinagarindra Dam National Park is perfect for those seeking calm waters, expansive scenery, and a deep connection with nature away from the crowds.
Visited Srinagarindra Dam National Park in Kanchanaburi and honestly, it’s one of those places that make you stop mid-walk just to take in the view. 🏞️💚 Massive reservoir, cool breeze, and that peaceful silence that city people like us forget exists. The water stretches endlessly with mountain backdrops that look straight out of a painting — if serenity had a location pin, it’d be here. 🌄 It’s not as crowded as Erawan or Sai Yok, which makes it feel like your own private slice of nature. The air is fresh, the trails are clean, and the viewpoints give you perfect photo spots without the chaos. 📸🌤️ You can chill by the dam, explore the park, or just sit and do absolutely nothing — all options feel equally valid here. If you’re visiting Kanchanaburi, this is absolutely a place you should visit. 🌿🚗 Bring sunscreen, water, and patience for winding roads — the trip is worth every minute. You’ll leave calmer, lighter, and probably planning when to come back again.
