Very peaceful and quite a workout, make sure U bring an umbrella and proper footwear. The only down is that Some locals brings portable speakers to disrupt the jungle and waterfall's sounds R# foreigners have to pay a small fee to get in
The hike is somewhat challenging. We went during the dry season in February. The rocks near the pools are slippery when wet. We found walking sticks places at the beginning of the hike that we used and returned. At places the path is fairly steep and you are climbing on rocks. Only went as far as level 2 due to time constraints. Well worth the effort!
If you want to see rain forest and some waterfall, this is the place for you! If you want to see the seventh waterfall, it's quite a messy path. Walk in the morning, when it's not as hot. Plenty of shadow though because of the big trees. Bring a backpack with some water and maybe something to eat. The whole walk took us 2 hours. I won't recommend it to younger children or old people due to the hard terrain.
Wow what an experience!!! The way up is not some prepared trail, it really is a climb! Such a satisfaction to reach top, where the most spectacular waterfall is. We just sat and rested for about 15 minutes meditating before climbing back down. Of course it rained along the way and we were drenched even with ponchos. As you can see from the photo, what was a dry trail on the way up became a waterfall on the way down, which we had to traverse, no other route. To climb the top you must be physically fit, but, most folks would just go part way and bathe in one of the many beautiful pools.
Very adventures nature water fall. Treking in the mountain forest with some energy gained by seeing the exiting of nature world. Plastic, alcohol, smoke free area. But we have to be carefull ourself to protect from slipery dangerous way. If we got injury or wounds its difficult to return back or take time to the first aid medical facility.
