ลานกางเต็นท์เขาหลวง อุทยานแห่งชาติรามคำแหง จังหวัดสุโขทัย โดดเด่นด้วยจุดชมทะเลหมอกและแสงเช้าบนยอดนารายณ์ที่สูงถึง 1,200 เมตรจากระดับน้ำทะเล การเดินทางขึ้นสู่จุดกางเต็นท์ใช้เส้นทางเท้าระยะทาง 3.7 กิโลเมตรจากที่ทำการอุทยาน เส้นทางชันมาก ผู้มาพักควรเตรียมสัมภาระเฉพาะสิ่งจำเป็น หากไม่ต้องการแบกเองมีบริการลูกหาบในอัตรา 25 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม บนยอดเขามีสองจุดชมวิวหลัก ได้แก่ ยอดนารายณ์สำหรับชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นและทะเลหมอก และยอดภูกากับยอดแม่ย่าสำหรับชมพระอาทิตย์ตกดิน ค่าบริการพื้นที่กางเต็นท์ 30 บาทต่อคนต่อคืน มีค่ามัดจำขยะ 100 บาท มีห้องอาบน้ำและร้านอาหารเล็กๆ บนยอดเขา อุทยานครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 213,215 ไร่ ติดกันสามอำเภอ ได้แก่ อำเภอเมือง อำเภอคีรีมาศ และอำเภอกงไกรลาศ

If you have a small tent it's cheaper to pay the porters to carry it up for you than it is to rent the national park tents. There are no shelters up there so if its rainy season you need a waterproof tent or a tarpaulin to cover your tent. At night it gets cold (at least in december). I slept in 1x hoody, 1x shirt, 1x shorts, 1x long trousers, socks and a sleeping bag and still woke up at 4am cold. You really need to take multiple pairs of warm clothes and wear them all to sleep, or get one of those 5-10 degree rated sleeping bags. Phone signal is patchy so check out your area for signal before you pitch the tent. There are some sit on and some squat toilets. There're no hoses and only bucket flush. Water is expensive, again cheaper to pay the porters to bring it up. There is a stream with clear water near the campsite if you don't mind drinking from natural sources. They sell basic food like noodles. You can charge stuff but theres only one electrical point at the shop and it's not free. Better to take a fully charged powerbank up with you. There are no bins up here - you have to take everything back down with you. Some of the trees have a bitter fruit on them which looks kind of like a gooseberry, they're edible 😋

Pack enough for comfort, food is no problem. The trail is steep, takes 2-3 hours if you're not used to climbing. It's about 3.7kms from the park base. Worth the climb, sunset and sunrise spots are marked on the map and an obvious trail will lead you to it. 👌🏻
Full facility include bathrooms toilet and small shop. Free clean water.
