Amazing views worth a detour alone already for the road leading there there is a small entry fee and good food at the entrance
Mae Moei National Park is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The park is not touristy, which adds to its charm and tranquility. I stayed in one of the tents provided, which was comfortable and well-maintained. The bathrooms were clean and adequate, making the camping experience more enjoyable. The park is known for its beautiful landscapes and diverse forest, which I had the pleasure of exploring. I attempted the trek up to the viewpoint, although it was a bit overgrown, the hike was easy and rewarding. The fog that often rolls in adds a mystical touch to the already stunning scenery. I also visited the waterfall, which was a sight to behold. The sound of the water cascading down was soothing and made for a peaceful atmosphere. The park is quiet, making it perfect for a good night's sleep. I woke up early to catch the sunrise, and it was a breathtaking experience. Very nice park, adequate accommodation, helpful staff. There is a nice trek up to a viewpoint, it was overgrown when I attempted it. I got about 3/4 ways up. Diverse forest.
Not touristy. Easy hike to Mon Pui Mok approx 4 Kms.
