Amazing place. I was here for an hour and there were no other people here except the park ranger. Admission was free. The entire park is clean, pastoral and very pleasant. I entered the inner path with the motorcycle and felt that I was not welcome there. It felt like there were a lot of animals living inside and I didn't see fit to disturb, but it was an unforgettable experience.
Covering nearly 455 km² across northern Thailand, Mae Yom National Park features the winding Yom River cutting through lush mountainous terrain of mixed evergreen and teak forest. Highlights include Dong Sak Ngam, home to extensive stands of towering teak; Kaeng Suea Ten, a natural river riffle perfect for camping and rafting (seasonal); and the enigmatic Lom Dong basin, which offers year-round water and scenic viewpoints. Wildlife sightings include elephants, serow, deer, wild boar, and diverse birdlife. The park offers basic amenities including a visitor center, campgrounds, and floating houses on the river. Open daily 09:00–17:00, with entrance fees ranging from THB 20 to 100 depending on nationality. Ideal visit season runs November through May, with foggy mornings and pleasant hiking conditions.
Small national park in Phrae with highlight attractions at Eng Mok Cliff with sea of fog early in the morning and Kaeng Sue Ten(แก่งเสือเต้น) with rocks formation in the middle of Mae Yom River running through it. Sea of fog can be found around winter approximately around November to January. Taking scenic route toward Lom Dong(หล่มด้ง) you should reach the scenic point just before the end of the road. The road is really winding but not too steep so it's a pretty easy ride. Tent camp and accommodation are around Kaeng Sue Ten area with small canteen available. I would recommend to come around November to December as the water is clearer, the air is cooler, and the trees are still green.
Nice ntp
At least it’s only 100 baht per person but there’s not much to do here . Pretty view in terms of a nice river /rapids but that’s all there is . You pay to have river access but there is no hike or anything . We took the road through the park which eventually dead ended (it used to be another entrance to the park). There is rafting that happens here in certain seasons too but probably expensive ! Pretty area but not worth a detour
