Had Sai Long (Wang Chad)

Ubon Ratchathani
0.0(0 reviews)

Had Sai Long (Wang Chad) in Sri Mueang Mai district offers free, self-sufficient camping in Ubon Ratchathani close to Bok Luek Waterfall — both can be combined in one trip. The site is a natural riverside area with no entrance fee, though visitors are expected to look after their own safety. Phone signal is 3G and drops out in spots, so downloading an offline map before setting off is strongly advised as Google Maps cannot navigate all the way to the site. There is parking on site, campfires are permitted, and swimming is possible when water levels are low enough. Mid-November through the cool season is the best time to visit: temperatures drop to a comfortable level and the river subsides to good condition. Leave-no-trace principles are taken seriously here — carry all rubbish out, including bottle caps.
