Ubon Ratchathani
4.6(5 reviews)

Bok Lakorn Waterfall, locally known as Hong Lakorn, is located in Pha Taem National Park, Khong Chiam District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. This is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in the park area, featuring stunning light blue waters surrounded by lush green vegetation. The waterfall requires a 4-kilometer adventurous hiking trail from Wat Ban Tamuy temple, ascending through forested slopes. Visitors can swim and enjoy the refreshing waters in this pristine natural setting. The camping area offers multiple site options including rocky platforms and spots beside small streams, suitable for both tents and hammocks. Facilities include natural bathing streams and open-air Balinese-style restrooms that catch the mountain breeze. Local guides and porters are available for hire. Prior coordination is required to obtain permission to enter the national park area. The site accommodates both day trips and overnight camping experiences.

Notes from our team

Getting there
Expect a 3-4 km walk in from the parking area. The terrain is mostly rock, not dense forest. Bring proper hiking shoes and enough drinking water.
Best time to go
Best visited in the rainy season when water levels are high enough. On nights with strong flow, water hitting the rocks sounds like music, which gives the falls their name.
