Notes from our team

Atmosphere: The camping ground offers two surface options: a grass lawn and a stone lawn. The grass is notably soft, comfortable to sleep on all night. Both areas sit right on the riverbank, so opening the tent reveals the water with a mountain range behind it. At night the lighting is gentle, keeping the peaks clearly visible, and a wooden raft extends out to the water's edge, so guests can sit or wade in without stepping in mud.
Getting there: The camp is located in Kanchanaburi, close enough to link easily with a trip to Erawan Waterfall, so the waterfall can fill the day before driving back to sleep here. Parking is available on site, along with toilets, electricity, and a restaurant within the same grounds, meaning visitors don't have to carry every supply in themselves.
Water & swimming: The river flowing past the lawn is the heart of the camp. Fishing works straight from the bank, and for a slower pace there are boat rides and kayaks, with life vests provided before anyone gets on the water. Swimming is easy here too, since the wooden raft stretches out from the shore, so there's no wading through mud to get into the river.
Best time to go: The best time to stay is the cool season around November, when the temperature is just right for sleeping in a tent by the river and the mountain views stay clear day and night. Many visitors pair the trip with Erawan Waterfall, spending the day there and returning to sleep on the riverbank.
