The site offers multiple camping zones including a rock area, cliffside spots, and a grassy hill. Clean restrooms are separated for men and women with 12 rooms total, all with warm water, and more toilets are being added so every zone stays close to a bathroom. It's just 1 km off Highway 304, near the Thai Samakkhi attraction. Pets are welcome though daily numbers are limited. Camper vans and RVs can access the site. Barbecue and made-to-order meals are available. Adult camping fee is 250 THB per person, kids under 8 stay free, and kids 9-14 pay 100 THB. What makes it special: Night-time is what makes this place memorable. The sky opens wide above the hill with little interfering light, and guests end up shooting stars all night rather than sleeping—on some nights even catching a falling star. As dawn breaks, mist rolls in to take over the scene. Come in the cool season and the temperature drops enough that heaters are provided. A starry night and a misty morning, all in one stay.
Atmosphere: This tent ground sits on a hill in Wang Nam Khiao, wide open to the breeze with unobstructed views. The lawn is soft, moist and green, dotted with a few large trees though shade is still sparse. Sites are spread apart and feel private, and the grounds—including a newer section—are tidy and pleasantly landscaped. Air turns properly cold in late December, while in late August early evenings sit around 25 degrees. When it rains overnight, mist drifts in the next morning to greet the day.
