Notes from our team

Getting there: Private cars can't reach the site — the access road is extremely steep — so the camp runs its own shuttle up and down, with parking at the base of the hill. The shuttle isn't explicitly bundled into the room rate, so budget for it separately, and allow waiting time: during busy stretches you may have to wait for the next shuttle run. Phone contact can also be slow to get through at times, so plan ahead.
Value for money: Rates start at 150 baht, which buys mountain views all around and night air cool enough that fans and air conditioning aren't needed — the rooms don't have AC anyway, and bathrooms are shared, separated for men and women. Judged against the elevation and the views, it's fair value for travelers who don't expect hotel-level comfort.
Food & supplies: You don't need to haul all your food up the hill — the site has a restaurant you can order from. Evenings bring pork grill sets plus single-dish meals, with chicken and pork BBQ sets available as add-ons; mornings offer rice porridge, coffee, and sandwiches. Personal snacks and food can be brought in as well, with meals paid on top of the accommodation rate.
