Laan Koei Camping & Cafe is a campsite in Samut Prakan where visitors can dig for cockles barefoot in mangrove mudflats, a rare activity near Bangkok. Located in Khlong Dan, Bang Bo district, it's an easy day trip from the city. Entry to the shellfish-digging activity costs 100 baht per person, while camping is 200 baht per person with children aged 7-10 free of charge, or 1,500 baht to reserve the whole tent area for 7 people. The site has toilets, showers, food and drinks for sale, and power outlets under shady trees with constant sea breeze. Guests can also take a boat tour through a mangrove tunnel to a fishing village, kayak or paddle a SUP board, join a one-day sea fishing boat trip, birdwatch for resident and migratory species, and enjoy sunset views over the sea. Booking ahead is required, check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. The cockle-digging season closes at the end of June, though camping and dining continue year-round.

ชอบครับ ลานกางเต้นท์สไตล์ชาวประมง ที่ลานยังมีสินค้าชุมชนขายด้วยนะครับ กะปิเคย ปลาแห้ง และอีกหลายอย่างเลย
Great first outdoor experience for kid A lovely spot for families. It was our girl’s first time harvesting blood cockles, and she had so much fun learning and exploring. The seaside campsite was peaceful, clean, and perfect for a quick escape from Bangkok. Simple, safe, and memorable.
The weather is nice. It gets a bit hot in the late morning and afternoon, but it's pleasant in the evening. Great for partying or relaxing. There's even a place where you can sleep on a fishing boat.
A communal business alongside a tourist campsite leading to a nice bay experience
