ถ้าคุณชอบสถานที่ธรรมดาธรรมดาที่สงบที่นี่ตอบโจทย์ ธรรมชาติมากๆ จุดกางเต็นท์จะมีสองฝั่ง ฝั่งที่ใกล้กับห้องน้ำฝั่งคนจะเยอะหน่อย ห้องน้ำแยกชายหญิง มีห้องน้ำ 3ห้องและห้องอาบน้ำประมาณ 6ห้อง แยกต่างหาก ส่วนอีกฝั่งสามารถนำรถเข้าไปจอดแล้วกางเต็นท์ข้างรถได้เลย คนน้อยกว่าค่อนข้างเงียบไม่พลุกพล่าน มีจุดต่อปลั๊กไฟใกล้ๆ คิดค่ากาง 200 บาท/หลัง และค่าใช้ไฟอีก 50บาท อากาศดี ลมเย็นเพราะอยู่ริมน้ำ มีร้านค้าและร้านอาหารของชาวบ้านอร่อยดีราคาไม่แพง
ลานกางเต็นท์ท่าเรือวังทอง ตั้งอยู่ที่เขื่อนทับเสลาค่ะ เราไม่ได้ไปพักค่ะ พอดีว่าไปงานวิ่ง จัดที่ลานกางเต็นท์ท่าเรือวังทอง ช่วงกลางวันแดดร้อนจัดมาก ร้อนสุดๆ ตรงบริเวณกางเต็นท์จะเป็นลานโล่งๆ เท่าที่ดูไม่เห็นมีต้นไม้ใหญ่เลย มีร้านค้าหลายร้าน ขายอาหารตามสั่ง ขายน้ำ ขายผลไม้ แต่ไม่แน่ใจว่าถ้าเป็นวันปกติจะมาขายทุกร้านหรือเปล่านะคะ พ่อค้าแม่ค้าอัธยาศัยดีมากค่ะ ที่ลานกางเต๊นท์มีห้องน้ำ-ห้องอาบน้ำอย่างละ 2-3 ห้องค่ะ ห้องน้ำเป็นแบบนั่งยองนะคะ ช่วงเช้าตรู่ และช่วงเย็น อากาศจะดีค่ะ วิวสวยดี

ถ้าใครอยากสัมผัสบรรยากาศป่า ห้วยขาแข้ง แบบใกล้ชิด แนะนำให้มาล่องเรือส่องสัตว์ที่ท่าเรือวิสาหกิจชุมชนวังทองเลยครับ บรรยากาศดีมาก เหมือนได้มานั่งชมป่ามรดกโลกจากริมน้ำ พี่คนขับเรือเป็นกันเอง ดูแลดี คอยช่วยสังเกตและชี้ให้ดูสัตว์ตลอดทาง เขาบอกว่ามีโอกาสเจอนกยูง ช้าง วัวแดง และเนื้อทราย วันนั้นเราโชคดีได้เห็นเนื้อทราย ลิง กวาง และนกยูงด้วยครับ เรื่องความปลอดภัยหายห่วง น้ำนิ่ง ไม่มีคลื่น และมีเสื้อชูชีพให้ครบ ค่าบริการ 650 บาทต่อลำ แนะนำให้โทรจองล่วงหน้าทางเพจท่าเรือวังทอง แล้วมาช่วงประมาณ 4–5 โมงเย็น แสงสวยกำลังดี แถมสัตว์เริ่มออกมาให้เห็นเยอะพอดี หรือถ้าใครไม่อยากลงเรือ แค่มานั่งทานอาหารริมน้ำ ชมวิวสวยๆ ตรงท่าเรือก็ฟินเหมือนกัน ที่นี่จัดการดี สะอาด สบายตา อยากชวนทุกคนมาช่วยอุดหนุนชุมชนกันเยอะๆ ครับ
We had a great time. We rode the boats and looked at the wildlife. Beautiful scenery and a good place to eat and wait for the boat rides. My understanding is the best time to visit is during the summer months when the water is low in the reservoir.
