Pong Luek-Bang Kloi

Pong Luek-Bang Kloi sits along a stream at the source of the Phetchaburi River within Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi Province, near the Thai-Myanmar border. The site offers bamboo rafting experiences and opportunities to observe Karen hill tribe culture, with the best rafting conditions from March through July. Electricity comes from solar panels and mobile phone signals are unavailable. Visitors can watch the sunrise from the viewpoint at Khao Thorasap hill and participate in activities such as hiking, swimming, and photography. Facilities include restrooms, showers, dining options, a coffee shop, and a small store. Access requires a four-wheel drive vehicle for a two-hour journey covering 30 kilometers of rough, dusty road. National park entry fees are 60 baht for Thai adults and 30 baht for children, with a vehicle fee of 30 baht. Bamboo rafting costs 550 baht per raft for two to three people, and transport service is available for 2,500 baht per vehicle. The camping fee is 30 baht per person per night, and equipment rental is available.
