Thale Bua Daeng Camping Site is located alongside the red lotus lake in Kumphawapi district, Udon Thani province. The Ban Chaela pier area serves as the recommended camping spot, offering a quiet and secure environment. Local residents maintain the site well, ensuring cleanliness and order throughout the area. Facilities available include clean restrooms and shower rooms. Visitors can arrange boat trips to explore the lake and observe the red lotus flowers during morning hours, with the optimal viewing window between 6:00 and 10:00 in the morning. Those visiting during January will find the lotus flowers in full bloom across the lake. Camping at this site is free of charge, though equipment rental services are not available.

Small boat (max 2 ppl) costs /Thb 300 and big one (5 ppl max) costs Thb 500. Local uncles are the guides. This boat ride is a must! Came in early Jan 2025 at 7am. Weather was 18c. Beautiful!
Excellent tour, great value for the money
Really nice place well worth the travelling to see. Many types of birds my family spotted and some never seen before. Go again when Lilly are out
