Atmosphere

The camping ground opens onto a wide mountain view, with a large rain tree standing as the landmark at its center. A cool breeze blows all day and turns genuinely cold at night, while the scenery in front shifts with the seasons. On full-moon nights the evening atmosphere is especially lovely — nearly every corner of the lawn makes a good photo frame.

Best time to go

Late December through the New Year brings all-day cool breezes and comfortably cold nights, though it is worth knowing that during the holiday season concert noise drifts over from the other side in the early evening, and traffic passes the front of the lawn all night as travelers head toward Khao Yai. Avoiding festival dates makes for a much quieter stay.

Quiet & crowds

The lawn sits right on the main road that Khao Yai-bound tourists pass through, so traffic noise carries through the daytime, tapering off at night as cars thin out. Sleep comes easily for anyone not bothered by passing vehicles, and the trade-off is convenience: easy drive-in access with no long dirt or steep stretches to reach the site.

Food & supplies

A restaurant sits directly across from the lawn, and the campground itself sells pork BBQ sets with free ice. For more options, turning right leads to local cafes and restaurants about 7-8 km away, while a daily community market with fresh produce, snacks, and a convenience store lies about 5-6 km to the left.
