Who it suits

This spot suits families who want their kids to meet elephants up close, or groups of friends who enjoy shared activities. The highlight is watching elephants come down to bathe in the river — children can enjoy the spectacle right from the riverbank, and those who want to can join the elephants in the water too.

Facilities

There are clean toilets and showers with lighting at night, plus electricity in the camp area. Fair warning though: daytime heat is intense and there's no shade to rest under, so if you visit in the hot season, bring your own sun shelter. Also note that campfires on the grass aren't allowed.

Quiet & crowds

Coming with a big group is fun, but know the rules first: large speakers and sound systems aren't allowed, and loud noise must stop after 10 pm. So if you're after an evening of river sounds and nature rather than music, this place works well — loud parties will have to happen elsewhere.

Campsite Rules

• •Do not approach the elephants without a staff member present
• •No sound systems or large speakers
• •No heavy meals or large equipment
• •Minimize bringing plastic waste
• •Do not dump dishes, food scraps, or wash dishes in the river (use the trash point)
• •No open fires on the grass
