Huai Phong Reservoir is a lakeside campsite in Yasothon province, known for sunset views reflecting off the water surrounded by trees and hills. Located in Loeng Nok Tha district, the area is currently an open grassy field where cars can drive right down to the water, though visitors should watch out for tree stumps scattered around. Activities available include fishing, cycling, and nature walks. The best time for camping in Yasothon here is winter, from November to February, when campers should bring their own tent, food, drinking water, camping gear, mosquito repellent, and a flashlight. The reservoir is about 60 kilometers from Yasothon town, roughly a 20-30 minute drive on a smooth road that stays passable even during the rainy season. A small shop is available nearby for supplies.
