Notes from our team

Atmosphere
Weekdays here feel completely different from weekends. With fewer visitors, you get your own private corner of the water without competing for space. The highlight is finding the small pools hidden just below the surface, like secret spots to explore. One request: take your trash with you, as some bottles and beer cans can still be seen around.
Facilities
There's plenty of parking, so coming in multiple cars is no problem. The grounds include a restaurant and a shop, and you can order food right when you book your table. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. The platform seating by the water is what most people want, though it comes with a minimum food order.
Water & swimming
You can actually swim at Kaeng Ru waterfall. The water is clean and refreshingly cool in summer, with hidden pools below the surface that are fun to explore. Non-swimmers can enjoy it too, since there aren't many rocks underwater and small fish swim around in schools. Just watch out for slippery rocks in some spots.
Best time to go
Summer is the best time to come, when the cool water is a perfect match for the hot weather. If you can, come on a weekday, when it's far less crowded than weekends and much more relaxed. You'll have plenty of spots to sit by the water, and there are shady areas to escape the sun all day.

This place is highly recommended for a fantastic day outing. The water is clean, and if you visit on a weekday, you'll experience a serene and peaceful atmosphere. One highlight is discovering hidden nooks just below the water's surface, offering secluded spots to play and explore. While the nearby restaurant didn't leave a strong impression with its flavors, we didn't mind since the prices were reasonable and the portions generous.

Auntie said that usually have to order 400baht worth of food to sit on the platform. But since we went on a weekday they were ok with us spending 150baht. Also we stayed only less than 2hrs. Place is nice to swim. Good for non swimmers. Not many rocks and lots of fish. Shady area to sit. A bit of trash can be seen (bottles and beer cans).
