What makes it special

The camping lawn of Khwae Noi National Park opens onto the crest of Khwae Noi Dam and the reservoir below. Morning light hits the wide water while a thin mist still lingers early in the day. The viewpoint along the dam crest is the signature image here — you can sit with a coffee in front of your tent and look out over the lake all day.

Atmosphere

The overall feel is genuinely quiet — the park sits far from any community and doesn't draw crowds, so it suits campers who come to rest rather than to party. A short nature trail leads toward the dam viewpoint for a leisurely walk, and the park staff are warm and welcoming.

Water & swimming

The reservoir below Khwae Noi Dam is the main body of water here — a wide lake framed by mountains serving as the backdrop to the camping lawn. There is normally a spot downstream of the dam for playing in the water, though its status can change, so it's worth checking with the park office before you go, as it may be closed for periods at a time.

Food & supplies

The park lies far from any town, so bringing your own food and drinking water matters, especially if you plan to cook at the tent. There is a small welfare shop inside selling snacks and drinks, but it isn't as stocked as stores outside. Arriving early lets you pick a tent spot and get set up without rushing.
