What is the difference between the waterside zone and the upper zone?

The waterside zone is shaded all day by the stream but requires carrying your gear about 10 metres down. The upper zone has green grass where you can park right next to your tent, and the front row still offers a close view of the stream.

Can we swim or play in the stream?

Yes — the Wang Sai Thong stream is shallow with clear, fast-flowing water, and free water play is included for all campers.

Is there rafting or kayaking available at the campsite?

Yes, rafting is available, and on holidays the river sees as many as 200–300 boats passing throughout the day.

Kru Bay Camping is located beside a shallow stream with clear flowing water at Wang Sai Thong in Satun Province. The camping area remains shaded throughout the day with the sound of flowing water creating a quiet and peaceful environment suitable for relaxation. Two camping zones are available: a riverside area requiring guests to carry equipment down about 10 meters, and an upper lawn area where vehicles can park directly beside tents. During holidays, groups of tourists frequently pass through for rafting activities throughout the day. Facilities include parking, clean restrooms and shower rooms, electricity, water supply, a dishwashing area, and a shop selling instant food, snacks, and beverages. Swimming and boat trips can be enjoyed on site, and photography opportunities are plentiful. The site is accessible by following GPS directions. The rate is 150 baht per person, and camping equipment rental is available.

What makes it special: What sets this place apart is pitching a tent right beside the stream or choosing higher ground on the grass. Evenings work well for a barbecue at your own pitch, and a nearby restaurant delivers food to the campsite. In the morning, the staff hang pork buns and soy milk for guests before they even wake up, so the riverside morning here comes with breakfast waiting.
Atmosphere: The camping field is a wide, green lawn shaded by fruit trees, with a shallow stream flowing right through the grounds where guests can play in the water. On cool mid-September nights, the sound of the flowing stream carries through until morning, when birdsong and kayakers paddling past on the stream become the wake-up view here.
