Visitors should bring their own camping equipment as rentals are not provided on site. Rates range from 50 to 200 baht, and equipment rental is not available.

The real magic of the park's entrance sandbar and the iconic beach swing happens right after sunset! Most people only visit Tarutao on a day trip and miss this completely. To truly experience the island's raw beauty, you absolutely need to stay overnight. A crucial tip for overnight travelers: the island's electricity goes off at night, and the bungalows can get incredibly hot inside without a fan. When that happens, the best place to be is right here on the beach under the first trees. I’ve included a short video clip and some photos to show you the vibe and the best moments. As twilight and night set in, walk down to this entrance beach. By looking at the shoreline from a side angle, you will see a rare and beautiful view: the perfect curve of the waves catching the last colorful reflections of the sky, while the main shipping lane lighthouse glows in the distance. As the night gets darker, the view becomes spectacular as the horizon lights up with a mysterious neon-green glow from the distant squid fishing boats. Anyone can capture these minimalist, magical moments—you just have to be willing to stay overnight and see the island wake up after dark when everyone else has already left. Every shot and video clip of me was taken fully solo using a camera self-timer and an intervalometer, out there completely alone.
