Hat Chao Mai National Park

Hat Chao Mai National Park campsite in Trang sits right on the beach, just a short walk from Pak Meng pier for boat trips around the Trang islands. Park entry costs 40 baht per person and the camping fee is 30 baht per person. The pitch area stays shaded all day thanks to tree cover, and the toilets are clean with several points around the site. There is a restaurant on site but it closes at 17:00, so campers should plan dinner accordingly. No electricity is available for campers to plug into. It gets breezy and cool at night, though mosquitoes are present, so repellent is recommended. For those without their own gear, tents and bedding can be rented, with the large size comfortably sleeping 3 people. Staff were reported as very helpful. The spot works well for travelers who want to camp right by the sea in Trang and head out early for island boat tours.
