Nuea Doi Camping Chiang Mai is located at Ban Buak Chan in Mae Rim District, less than an hour from Chiang Mai city center. The campsite offers viewpoints where visitors can watch the sunset and observe the sea of mist in the mornings. Facilities on site include restrooms and shower rooms with hot water on two sides of the camping area, electricity throughout, and a restaurant serving made-to-order dishes and hot pot. In addition to tent camping space, there are three dome units available for those seeking more comfortable accommodation. The site can be reached via two routes, either through Mon Cham or from Samoeng District. The camping fee is 150 baht per person per night, and equipment rental is not available.

North Doi Camping – A Peaceful Escape with Family I recently spent a night at North Doi Camping with my family, and it was one of the most refreshing getaways we’ve had in a long time. We brought our own tent and stayed surrounded by the stunning mountain scenery of Chiang Mai. The view during sunrise and sunset was absolutely breathtaking — the sky changed colors over the rolling hills, and the cool breeze made everything feel peaceful. This place is perfect for families. There’s plenty of space for kids to run around, and the atmosphere is quiet, clean, and close to nature. At night, we sat under the stars, enjoyed a small campfire, and just talked. No distractions — just quality time. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire site was well-maintained. There are also clean restrooms and basic facilities that made our stay comfortable. I’ve had an experience of a lifetime coming here. I made alot of research before booking and I am glad I decided to book here and support their little homestay. The tents are fully equipped with everything you need for camping. Good clean hot showers with good water pressure, a hair dryer, enough tissues, some folding chairs. The beds are hard but I had the most comfortable sleep ever. The owners are super nice. The only thing I didn’t take into account was how dark it was gonna be at night. And it was a little scary as I was all alone. 😂 But in the morning at 7:30am, they came with a tray of breakfast!!! it was the sweetest thing ever. and i had the privilege of having the nicest breakfast with a view in the cold mountain. I loved every second of it!
