Baan Bon Camping is a small private campsite in Chiang Mai's Hang Dong district, just 30 minutes from the city on a good road suitable for sedans, with only a short narrow stretch before arrival. This campsite in Chiang Mai splits its ground into three natural tiered zones: Lom Bon near the parking lot and restrooms, Chom Doi with mountain views, and the most private and quiet Chai Khao zone at the bottom. Camping fees are 150 THB per person per night for adults and 50 THB per person per night for children aged 6-12, with kids under 6 free, or book the whole site exclusively across all 3 zones for 3,000 THB per night for up to 20 people. The site has electricity, toilets and showers (no water heater), good signal on every network, and complimentary coffee and Ovaltine in the mornings. There's no shop, restaurant, or equipment rental, so bring your own gear and food. Pets are allowed, but there is no car camping area — all vehicles must park in the upper parking lot.

The best campsite in Chiang Mai, no doubt. Great service, beautiful view, very clean, and very private. The host is super kind, and the owner’s mom is really lovely—she even found us firewood. Highly recommended!
