Nice place to visit if you’re visiting the Chiang Mai University or if you’re staying near Maya Mall. You definitely stop at the visitor office and get a pass for the electric cart that goes all around with designated hop on or hop off stops. Campus is large and hilly. They also have events in the amphitheater area.
This is a collection of historical buildings from the Chiang Mai area, particularly focusing on the wooden structures of the early part of the last century. They have been disassembled and rebuilt here to show the different styles. I found what little information there was interesting, but I wish there had been more. For instance, it would have been nice to tie these structures to those at the royal agricultural research center in Chiang Rai where they have built a number of these structures to demonstrate the building techniques and materials. I wish more info was available.
Hidden gem in Chiang Mai. What a beautiful place near CMU. Go here in the evening with plenty of time to stroll, take pics and have coffee. Reservoir is beautiful at sunset.
A very easy and close get away from the city. I think this whole park is also from the university. You can find QR Codes on some trees and can get some information about them. You will most likely need less than 30 minutes for one round around the lake. Its a nice walk, some parts in the shadow, some in the sun. I didnt see any public toilets but i guess you will find one either near the university or the cafe at the lake. While your walk around the lake you can see the wonderful perfectionism from mother earth 🌏 🌴 🌲 🌳 You can also spot some animals like birds, fish and squirrels. Everything else when you have a good amount of patience. Definitely recommend the visit here! 0 baht entry fee!
It’s a lovely little “pond” esque reservoir on the CMU campus! There were lots of people taking photos (graduation?) and it’s a lovely route around the reservoir for walk/run. It then connects via street to another little body of water that has a paved sidewalk around it too! I went on a cloudy day, but when it’s sunny it must be even more beautiful with the jungle/mountain in the background! 🤩
