Huai Lan Reservoir is located near Chiang Mai city and offers a convenient spot for camping and relaxation. Visitors can watch the sunrise in the morning or enjoy an evening barbecue at sunset. The long road along the dam provides space for resting and photography. The site includes a camping area with kayaking and fishing activities available. The surrounding landscape features mountain ranges of Mae On National Forest Reserve and Doi Ngum peak. Facilities include viewpoints, parking, restrooms, shower rooms, and designated areas for campfires and stargazing. The entrance fee is 20 baht per person, with camping space priced at 100 baht for a small tent and 300 baht for a large tent per night. Equipment rental is not available at this site.

ค่ากางเต๊นท์คนละ 100 แต่กฎไม่เป็นกฎ ป้ายทางเข้าเขียนว่าอ่างปิด3ทุ่ม เจ้าหน้าที่ไม่ควบคุม ปล่อยคนเข้าๆออกๆได้ตลอด กลุ่มข้างๆมีคนขับรถเข้ามากินเหล้าเพิ่มตอนตี1 พวกที่มากินเหล้าส่วนมากจะทยอยกลับประมาณตี2ตี3 หลายๆกลุ่มเปิดเพลงถึงเช้า เบสตึบๆถึงตี 5 น่าจะเมาหลับไป ไม่งั้นก็แบตลำโพงหมด ไปครั้งที่สองทั้งลานมีแค่ผม มีวัยรุ่นขับรถเข้ามาจอดใกล้ๆเต๊นท์2คันตอนเที่ยงคืน เอาไฟส่องถึงจะย้ายไปนั่งที่อื่น น่ากลัวอยู่นะ ห้องน้ำน้อยและไกลไปหน่อย ถ้าต้องถ่ายหนักอาจจะมีปัญหา
This is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon/ evening and watch the sunset. We camped here for free on the beach under some trees and there was a toilet block we could use too. Very lively place in the evening
