Atmosphere

The camping ground sits high up in Suan Phueng on an open, spacious lot with no large trees blocking the light, so morning sun reaches the tents directly. It suits anyone wanting to take in the view or photograph the landscape, especially when temperatures drop — it gets genuinely cold up here, so bring warm layers.

Getting there

Reaching the site involves a climb up a dirt road that is steep and winding — drive slowly and carefully, especially on a first visit. The pinned map location sits slightly below the actual ground, so continue up the dirt road a bit further to arrive at the camping field.

Best time to go

Winter is the best time to visit — the temperature on the field drops sharply and campers keep reaching for extra layers. In the hot season, bring a well-ventilated tent, since the open ground has no tree cover and midday sun hits the entire site.

Food & supplies

Near the upper part of the field there is a small shop for basic supplies plus a made-to-order food counter, which helps a lot for anyone who doesn't want to haul ingredients up the hill. Simple cooking gear is enough — the site provides electricity and water on the ground.
