Notes from our team

What makes it special
The pink-hued rocks along this stretch of coast reveal their richest color as the sun goes down — fiery orange skies setting off rosy stone and clear water that shows the seabed beneath. A steady sea breeze runs the length of the shore, and the sound of waves breaking carries all day. Late afternoon, just before sunset, is when the view is at its best: warm light washing over the rocks in a palette that is genuinely rare. Campers who stay the night can also stargaze and catch the sunrise over the water.
Getting there
Two routes lead down to the rock terrace: the stairway path heads straight to the sunset viewpoint but is the harder climb. The trail itself is moderately difficult — steep in places, unclear in others, with no signage to follow, so it is easy to lose the way. Expect to sweat plenty and bring your own drinking water; older visitors may find the terrain tough. A local dog is known for escorting walkers along the trail and has become a familiar fixture of the area.

A magical spot in Chanthaburi where the rocks glow with a unique pink shade as the sun sets. The atmosphere is peaceful yet dramatic — nature’s stage by the sea. I filmed my cover of Room 39’s ‘Restart’ here, and the setting could not have been more perfect. The mix of ocean breeze, crashing waves, and fiery skies gave the performance its soul. If you’re looking for a place to reset, reflect, or create — this coast carries a quiet power that stays with you long after you leave.

Actually it is an excellent place for tourists and it should be an attractive place. Blue sky, clear sea water, pink rocks. BUT 1. the walking track was terrible, not good for older person. Should revonate trails. 2. A lot of garbages in this area, maybe the officers should do something.

The hike is medium difficulty. Some areas were not clear, but we had the best local dog guide. Interesting rocks, beautiful view. Definitely worth the visit. Clean restroom and shower rooms.
