Bringing your own tent costs 100 THB, or 150 THB with breakfast included, and kids under 10 stay free. Tent rental is available for 150 THB per tent (sleeps 2), with bedding sets and fans also available to rent. Free kayaks and inner tubes are provided for play right in front of the campsite, or campers can join a paid kayak rafting trip for 500 THB per boat or inner tube rafting for 250 THB, both lasting 45 minutes with shuttle transport and staff supervision along the way. Getting there: You can drive right up to the tents, with plenty of spots to choose from. Electricity is available. Tent pitch is 100 baht, with a convenience store and on-site restaurant.
Who it suits: Suits anyone escaping city life for a picnic or a swim, with boats and kayaks on hand. If bugs bother you, be prepared – this is real forest, with ants and insects around.
Best time to go: Even in April the tree shade keeps it comfortable, and the river water is refreshingly cool for a swim. The cool season gets especially good word of mouth.
Food & supplies: No need to bring much food – there is an on-site restaurant. The owners often hand out free bananas and noodles. Still, bring your own insect repellent and balm.
