Notes from our team

Who it suits
Entry fees are low—a family can enjoy the warm water all day for a couple hundred baht. It suits families with kids and anyone who likes slow days of soaking and wandering the park, not those looking for late-night music or parties.
Facilities
The site has toilets, showers, water, electricity, and parking for both cars and motorbikes. The hot springs offer shared pools plus private rooms. One thing to note: bring your own towel and toiletries, as they are not provided.
Quiet & crowds
On non-holiday weekdays the site is nearly empty—some days you may have a whole hot spring pool to yourself. The only sounds are nature itself. There is no party noise here at all, as the campground is officially an alcohol-free zone.

Nam Tok Sai Rung La-ong Dao

Nam Tok Sai Rung La-ong Dao

Ranong

Nam Tok Sai Rung La-ong Dao is a deep-jungle waterfall reached by a grueling 16 km round-trip trek through Khlong Naka Wildlife Sanctuary, making it one of the most demanding camping in Ranong province. The trip runs over two days and one night, with the first 6 km being mostly stream wading — sections can reach waist depth, and rain raises the difficulty two to three times over. Rangers accompany every group at a ratio of one officer per two visitors throughout the entire route, and there is no mobile phone signal from start to finish. Three camp zones are available near the stream, each with a basic toilet; camp assignment is decided by staff, not visitors. After setting up camp, hikers push a further 2 km to the waterfall itself, climbing from 200 m to 450 m elevation in just 1 km before a steep rope-assisted descent. Entry fee is 40 THB per person; guide, porter, and 4x4 transfer fees are charged separately. Advance booking by phone is required.
