Khao Yai National Park Protection Unit 2 (Pha Kradad)

Khao Yai National Park Protection Unit 2 (Pha Kradad) is located in Nakhon Ratchasima province and offers a quiet, uncrowded camping experience. The site is easily accessible from the main road and features spacious open grounds. A notable attraction is Grandma Mali, a blind gaur that visitors can feed with bananas or other fruits. The campground operates on a walk-in basis without requiring advance reservations. Car camping is permitted, and campers may cook in front of their tents. Facilities include parking, separated male and female toilets, shower rooms with basic fixtures but no hot water, dishwashing stations, electricity, and water supply. However, there are no electrical hookups for individual sites, no accommodation buildings, no shops, and no waste disposal facilities, so visitors must bring all supplies and take their trash home. Rules prohibit loud noise after 10 PM, open fires directly on the ground, and pets. The camping fee operates on a donation basis with a collection box provided. Equipment rental is not available.
