Atmosphere

The field only takes registered campers, so it never feels packed and there is space between groups, with a breeze moving through the field all day. Daytime heat is typical for Thailand, but evenings turn properly cold, so bring warm layers. This is a field for genuinely resting, not for loud partying.

Getting there

The field sits in the Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima, in the same area as the Khao Yai highlands, which is why late-year temperatures drop noticeably lower than in the city. Farmland surrounds the site, and convenience stores are within easy reach, but since intake is capped by registration, booking ahead is advised, especially on weekends and long holidays.

Best time to go

Cool season is when this field is at its best. In December, morning temperatures sit around 17 C with a light breeze, ideal for coffee beside the tent, while midday warms up enough for outdoor activities. Deep-season nights get seriously cold, so a proper sleeping bag and warm clothes are worth packing, not just for the early hours.

Food & supplies

A cafe sits right next to the field, serving freshly brewed coffee and lemon cake made from lemons grown on the owner's own farm. For supplies or late-night food, 7-Eleven delivery reaches the camp, or it is about a 10-minute drive to a nearby 7-Eleven and Big C. Still, it is best to arrive with essentials already sorted.
