This time of year they have a market from 5pm. Grab up some local delights and then pick a picnic spot on the grass to wait for the sun to go down. Be ready at 6pm for the bats to swarm out of the mountain in different directions. If you’re lucky they will pass right overhead, an amazing sight.
Enjoyed swimming there. Water does get cloudy when you jump in I don’t recommend opening your eyes in the water since it gets filled with dissolved rock. Water very nice temperature for December and not crowded . Rock crumbles in your hands which feels odd. Can get a nice water massage if you stand under one of the falls.
Fantastic waterfall close up. With camping spots and take your swimwear to paddle in the river also picnic there.
Excellent place and great location. Excellent service and friendly staffs. It covers 4 sub-districts: Khlong Lan Phatthana Sub-district, Khlong Nam Lai Sub-district, Pong Nam Ron Sub-district, and Sak Ngam Sub-district, Khlong Lan District. Within the park, there are interesting tourist attractions such as Khlong Lan Waterfall, Khlong Nam Lai Waterfall, Kaeng Roi Ko, etc.
We camped at this national park right by the river and fell asleep to the sound of the water. The waterfall was super easy to walk to from the parking lot. And there's a nature trail from the camping spots, too. If you camp, the rangers have lots of food for sale in the morning and a good coffee shop, too. There was a small fee to camp if you bring your own gear, or, like many other parks, you can rent the tents, sleeping pads, etc for the night.
