Khlong Nam Lai Waterfall Campsite sits inside Khlong Lan National Park in Kamphaeng Phet province, where you can fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall all night. The campsite in Kamphaeng Phet is a shaded grassy area with a shallow stream alongside it that is safe for children to splash in. A stairway trail leads up to the upper waterfall tiers through scenic forest. Park tents are available for rent. Boxed meals, drinks, and a coffee shop selling instant noodles are available on site, with a shop selling grilled pork neck nearby down the road. Entry fees are 40 THB per person (valid for both Khlong Lan and Khlong Nam Lai areas), 30 THB per vehicle, and 30 THB per person for pitching a tent. Toilets are clean with strong water pressure, and a charging point is available at the ranger station. Lights are reduced after 20:00 to save energy. There is no mobile phone signal anywhere in the area. Park rangers are attentive and friendly.

This is a very beautiful two tiered waterfall, which has two natural splash pools perfect for swimming - one at the bottom including swimmable parts of the river, and also another amazing one located half way up which has a sandy shoreline, accessed through concrete steps set into the hillside. The water is crystal clear everywhere and is full of small and medium sized fish, which is lovely to see. There are occasional water birds, pond skaters, and lots of very pretty butterflys flitting around too. There are wild elephants in the surrounding national park, although we didn't see any on our visit. To be sure, it's a nature paradise here. A very attractive woodland park has been created around the waterfall, with a grassy camping area along the river bank, and a nice modern toilet block with showers set in amongst the trees, which is very handy after swimming in the pools and river. This really is a perfect place for a wonderful family day out. It's one of the best waterfalls for that which I've ever seen!
