Mok Rap Tawan Campsite offers one of the closest views of a sea of mist among camping spots in Tak province. Located on Doi Pa Wai, also known as Mon Mok Rap Tawan in Phop Phra district, it sits about 50 km from Mae Sot town. The road is concrete and accessible by all vehicle types, except for a steep 1-km stretch near the end. The camping ground faces directly toward the sunrise, making it ideal for watching the morning mist and first light, as well as stargazing at night, especially during meteor showers. The area stays cool year-round and features flower gardens for photos. Camping fees are 200 THB per person for adults, 100 THB per person for older children, and free for young children. Bamboo platforms (แคร่) can be rented for 300 THB per person, and there is a car camping zone at 300 THB per vehicle. Solar lights are available at certain spots but there is no electricity, so bring a power bank. Food and drinks are available on-site, and guests may bring their own food or grill their own meals. The campsite recommends visiting in the late rainy to early cool season when flowers are in bloom, and camping in Tak is particularly scenic at this time.
