What makes it special

The most popular pitches are the ones beside the stream, where you can set up with flowing water in view the whole time. Children can go straight down to play in the water and sand along the bank. The other side of the site is an open lawn dotted with several photogenic corners. For families bringing kids or a small dog, it works as a place to spend the whole day together, both by the water and out on the grass.

Atmosphere

The camping ground is an open lawn with zones both along a small stream and on grass, and the grass and trees are clearly well cared for. Late afternoon, as the light softens and the stream runs past the tents, is the best time of day here. Once night falls the air turns genuinely cold, so warm clothing is a must. The site sits next to a small road, so a passing car can occasionally be heard during the day, but after dark the road goes quiet.
