Rai Lung Nueng is a campsite in Loei province at Ban Saeng Pha, Na Haeo district, known for its morning sea-of-mist views right at your tent door. The site sits along the main road on the way up Phu Hua Hom, with an easy, non-steep access route. There are 6-7 tent pitches to choose from, and no advance booking is needed — just arrive, pick a spot, and give your name and phone number. Camping fee is 150 THB per person, charged only for guests aged 10 and up. Electricity is available on-site, along with 5 clean toilets equipped with water heaters. Food and drinks are sold on the property, and car camping space is available. Pets are allowed but only within the tent camping zone. Evenings get cool, dropping below 20°C, making it pleasant for viewing the mist. House accommodation is also offered with prices varying by month, separate from the tent fee. Harirak Forest Park in Loei province is nicknamed the 'Pang Oung of Loei' for its reservoir views enclosed by mountain ridges. This campsite in Loei covers around 8,250 rai within the Khok Phu Lek National Forest Reserve, with elevations ranging from 300–500 metres above sea level. The camping area sits along a waterway, and the park offers a nature study trail and a notably scenic sunrise viewpoint. Two forest types are found here — evergreen (dry dipterocarp) and deciduous (mixed deciduous), with moist evergreen patches in the valleys. It suits campers, photographers, and leisure visitors alike. Starting 1 September 2026, the park will begin charging an entry fee in line with Department of National Parks regulations; visitors should confirm the current rate before travelling. Visitors arriving on Saturdays or Buddhist holy days can drive across to explore the Lao side of the border, where community products are available for browsing and temple visits are possible. The Thai side also features a canal-side market offering diverse food options. The campsite provides equipment for use and charges 150 baht per person for tent camping.
